Silver Buffaloberry - Shepherdia argentea

The Silver Buffaloberry (Shepherdia argentea) is a large thicket forming shrub or small tree naturalized thought the Northern and Western United States. This species is ideal for erosion control and wildlife habitat. It is rarely cultivated other than for natural restoration. This plant is a little unruly and prone to spreading in the landscape. The flower is almost invisible. The native species is most common in production.
