Double Play® Gold Spirea - Spirea fritschiana 'Yan'
The Double Play® Gold Spirea (Spirea fritschiana 'Yan') is a medium sized flowering shrub for landscapes, gardens, and borders. This variety has persistent flowers on a bed of bright yellow folliage in a naturally compact habit. Shearing of spent flowers will cause the plant to rebloom. Spent flowers allowed to go to seed can revert and become exotic invasive species in zones 6 and up. This plant is a trademarked cultivated variety of Spirea japonica with a patent held by Proven Winners®. Photos from other members of the species will aid in identification.
