Early Spiketail - Stachyurus praecox

The Early Spiketail (Stachyurus praecox) is a large flowering shrub or small tree for landscapes and gardens. This species produces long chains of spring flowers before most other plants bloom. This plant grows very fast and has weak wood that is prone to storm damage. The native species is most common in production.
