Bladdernut - Staphylea trifolia

The Bladdernut (Staphylea trifolia) is a large flowering shrub or small tree for landscapes, gardens and naturalizing. This plant has gorgeous white flowers in spring followed by a seeds incased in a distinct "bladder". This is a great alternative to a Lilac for a more reliable bloom. This plant has no negatives of note. The native species is most common in production.
