Queen Palm - Syagrus romanzoffianum

The Queen Palm (Syagrus romanzoffianum) is a large upright towering palm for warm climate gardens and landscapes. This is a favorite street tree in Southern California. It gets tall and erect with huge white plumes of flowers. It does require some water during droughts. Young palms do best if protected on frosty nights. Christmas lights and sheets work great. There are more cultivars of this species in production.
