Hybrid Yew - Taxus X media

The Hybrid Yew (Taxus X media) is a medium to large sized evergreen for landscapes and gardens. Hybrid yews are usually bred to have tighter branching habits, and to respond better to pruning and shearing than native species. Hybrid yews typically need well drained soil, are sensitive to overwatering and sun scald. Hybrid yews are typcally crossed between Taxus baccata and Taxus cuspidata varieties, and there are numerous varieties in cultivation.
