Oriental Arborvitae - Thuja orientalis

The Oriental Arborvitae (Thuja orientalis) is a pyramidal conifer for use as a specimen or hedging in gardens and landscapes. The needles on this species are more bunched or layered than others that lay flatter. This plant is prone to bagworms and ice damage and it develops very prickly dead interior needles.
