Silver Linden - Tilia tomentosa

The Silver Linden (Tilia tomentosa) is a large deciduous shade tree for landscapes and gardens that is ideal as a street tree. This species is most noted for the silver appearance the bicolored leaves give the whole tree when the wind blows. The seed drop can create a mess in high traffic areas. There are more cultivars of this species in production.
