Mexican Tree Sunflower - Tithonia fruticosa

The Mexican Tree Sunflower (Tithonia fruticosa) is a flowering broadleaf evergreen shrub for landscapes and gardens. This is a prolific bloomer all season long, but the shrub itself often looks tattered except during periods of high rainfall. This is a great source for cut flowers. The flowers are often overshaddowed by the scraggliness of the bush. There are more cultivars of this species in production.
