Western Hemlock - Tsuga hetrophylla

The Western Hemlock (Tsuga hetrophylla) is a pyramidal coniferous tree native to the Western United States and used extensively in landscapes and gardens. This species is a staple in Pacific Coast forests. Large trees are able to grow under some of the other giants in the shade. If trained when young they can also be sheared into a hedge. This plant has no negatives of note. There are more cultivars of this species in production.
