Elizabeth Mountain Hemlock - Tsuga mertensia 'Elizabeth'

The Elizabeth Mountain Hemlock (Tsuga mertensia 'Elizabeth') is a small coniferous evergreen for landscapes and gardens. This plant is a good alternative as a spreading evergreen in the shade. In the sun a spreading Spruce or Fir would be a better alternative to avoid sun scorch. This is a cultivated variety of Tsuga mertensia reportedly found near Mount Ranier, but not commonly found in nature.
