Camperdown Scotch Elm - Ulmus glabra 'Camperdown'

The Camperdown Scotch Elm (Ulmus glabra 'Camperdown') is a weeping deciduous specimen for landscapes and gardens. This plant is a grafted variety that has almost a twisted mounding habit that is great in winter as well. The base of the branching can only start as high as the graft. This originated as a seedling shrub form, but has been cultivated by grafting, most commonly to an Ulmus americana trunk.
