Cowberry - Vaccinium vitis-idaea

The Cowberry (Vaccinium vitis-idaea) is a broadleaf evergreen groundcover ideal for landscapes and gardens, native to the extreme Northern United States. This species is a solid performer, very low maintenance and a favorite of wildlife. The plants spread by under ground runner, but do not like mulch on the foliage. The native species is most common in production.
