Redwood Ivy - Vancouveria planipetala

The Redwood Ivy (Vancouveria planipetala) is a ground covering broadleaf evergreen native to the West Coast. This is one of my favorite plants of late. It reminds me of a Galax but with a Coral Bell Flower. This is a very classy groundcover for a naturalized setting. The plant can defoliate in colder climates. The native species is most common in production.
