The Compact Korean Spice Viburnum (Viburnum carlesii 'Compactum') is a deciduous flowering shrub for landscapes, gardens, and borders. This is a compact form of the parent species suitable for a foundation planting. This species is probably the most fragrant of the Viburnums. Unpruned it reaches 5 feet in 8 years, but by pruning once a year it can easily stay to 3 feet. This plant has no negatives of note. There are more cultivars of this species in production.
