Highbush Cranberry - Viburnum edule

The Highbush Cranberry (Viburnum edule) is a medium sized naturalizing shrub native to most of North America. This plant is great for naturalizing but also good for working into residential landscapes as a small tree. It is more known for the vivid berries than the flowers. This plant has a very upright habit and often needs underplanted in a landscape. Use only hand pruners on this plant for best results. There are more cultivars of this species in production.
