The Japanese Snowball (Viburnum plicatum) is a deciduous flowering shrub for landscapes, gardens, and borders. This species is noted for the flowers that form along the branches rather than on the ends. It is much less susceptible to aphids than similar Viburnums. The flowers produce a seed rather than berry. This plant is more common as a parent of other hybrids than as the straight species.
