Uvalama Chaste Tree - Vitex mollis

The Uvalama Chaste Tree (Vitex mollis) is a deciduous flowering shrub or tree for landscapes, gardens, and naturalizing. This tree is a favorite pool tree in the Southwest for the lack of litter, and fast growing canopy to produces shade. It is also considered to be a butterfly magnet. The flowers are not overly showy from a distance, but are fragrant and noticable up close. The native species is most common in production.
