Wine and Roses™ Weigela - Weigela florida 'Alexandra'
The Wine and Roses™ Weigela (Weigela florida 'Alexandra') is a deciduous flowering shrub or tree for landscapes, gardens, and especially borders. This variety is much more compact than most weigelia, and has a dark purple foliage all summer long. This was one of the first purple leaf varieties in production and still one of the best. Tip prune only, as shearing can destroy the habit of this plant for life. This plant is a cultivated variety of Weigela forida under trademark with Proven Winners®.
