Wine and Roses Weigela - Weigela florida 'Wine and Roses'
The Wine and Roses Weigela (Weigela florida 'Wine and Roses') is a deciduous flowering shrub or tree for landscapes, gardens, and especially borders. This species has very prolific flowers for long periods in summer with a mounding sprawling habit. This variety derives the name from the rose colored flowers and burgundy leaves. Tip prune only, as shearing can destroy the habit of this plant for life. This plant is a cultivated variety of Weigela forida. Photos from the parent species may aid in identification.
