The Japanese Wisteria (Wisteria floribunda) is a very vigorous vine for landscapes and gardens that has escaped into nature throughout the United States. This species has an impressive flower and sturdy branch like vines. This is an extremely invasive exotic species that should not be used above zone 5. Many cultivars of this plant are in production, but should really be banned and replaced with the native.
