Beaked Yucca - Yucca rostrata

The Beaked Yucca (Yucca rostrata) is an evergreen tree native to arid landscapes of Mexico but also adaptable to landscapes and gardens. This species is unmistakable with the thick round trunk and large round ball of blue foliage it creates with age. It is very reminiscent of a Palm with age. This plant has the typical prickly leaf tips of a Yucca, but requires very little handling. The native species is most common in production.
