Japanese Zelkova - Zelkova serrata

The Japanese Zelkova (Zelkova serrata) is a medium sized deciduous shade tree ideal for gardens and landscapes that is tolerant of pollution for urban use. This species has incredible bark, trunk and branching on older trees makes this a favorite to hybridize for street trees. This plant has no negatives of note. There are more cultivars of this species in production.
